Cost-efficient, flat and soft – Desiccant packs

Our desiccant bags are designed for the optimum protection of moisture-sensitive pharmaceuticals during their entire shelf-life. We offer desiccant packets in different sizes as single strips or on reel. Thanks to the flat and compact design of the desiccant packs, they take up only little space inside the package. The cost-efficient solution to upgrade your drug packaging to a complete desiccant system.

Our desiccant packs are made of very durable and tear-resistant Tyvek® material, which makes it virtually puncture-proof and which is state of the art for desiccant packs like for example silica gel packets. That is the reason why the risk of product contamination or leakage during filling and usage with this desiccant packs is extremely low.

High durability, excellent and fast moisture adsorption with desiccant packets

Our desiccant packs are made of Tyvek®. Tyvek® is composed of millions of microfibers. They are bonded together in form of a “maze“, which allows water vapor to pass through the natural pores in the microfiber structure. Once water vapor penetrates the desiccant pack, it will be adsorbed by the silica gel or molecular sieve filling. Accordingly, desiccant packets are highly permeable and ensures an excellent moisture adsorption.

Excellent handling, low migration risk –Desiccant packs

Our desiccant packs are made with a lap seal which is flat without any layers sticking out. This ensures very good handling of e.g. silica gel packets with existing filling lines. Many other moisture absorber packs are manufactured with fin seal. This overlapping seam risks to get stuck in the line during filling the desiccant packets. Moreover, dust might get stuck underneath the seal.

Desiccant packets are available as single pack or – on reel, which ensures a clean pack separation through a punch hole in the seal between the desiccant packs. Filling trials showed a more reliable pack separation of desiccant packs compared with eye-mark cut signs, which results in a cleaner cutting during the filling process.

The desiccant packets are compatible with standard dispensing equipment and filling lines.
